Happy Spring! Lift your cup with me and drink to impossibly green grass and brilliant flowers. To white, wispy clouds and azure skies. To the sun on your back and a warm breeze on your face. To the sound of birdsong. To the first day of spring.
Of course, spring is not quite this far along here yet, (this picture was taken in early May of last year) but I look forward to it with anticipation. I can see the light. It's coming. Take heart.
And Happy Spring to you too Mary! Even with the snow still fouling the ground I am so hopeful for warm weather and flowers! It has to get here soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes...I so remember all the pretty pictures of your garden and look forward to more this year. Now, with that new camera of yours, the photos are going to be magnificent!

ReplyDeleteMay is really the most glorious month in the northeast; grass, flowers and shrubs are at their very prettiest. At the risk of wishing my life away I note that in about 6 weeks we should be felling that sun on our backs! Thanks for the beauty Mary.

Thanks Mary, I appreciate that. The only trouble is our forecast calls for 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow and snow continuing until Tuesday. So, I'll hold off the party hats for awhile!

Hi, I haven't been to see you for a while. I must get myself organised and get you on my favourites so it's easy to visit! I laughed so much at your last post about too much ***. Very funny, and yes very interesting too. Ooops.

Happy Spring to you....from my desk I can see the first busy bloomers of the season...Ms. Redbud is whirling her frilly skirt on one side, and the staid ol' Flowering Quince is saying "lok at me...look at me...she's all glitz and pinkery, but I'm solid and orange!!" I just hope this lovely blue sky holds through Sunday....and happy Easter to you Ma'amselle!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your spring weather soon! That photograph is so beautiful!
