I'm exhausted at the thought of all the things I have to do around the house. Clean out closets and drawers, wash windows, straighten up the pantry. We really need a dumpster for the garage, which is too full to hold a car. Of course, as the weather starts to nudge it's way into the 50's, the garden cries out for work, too.
Sheesh. I think I'll take a nap.
Happy Monday.
Mmm... a nap sounds like a good idea to me.

A nap. That sounds wonderful, but instead here at am at work. I just had to sneak a peek at your blog.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is too appropriate.
Mary
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good idea...I actually have today off after Easter...I have a full list of things to do but think I'll just relax...it'll all be here later!
:0)
Enjoy your nap-Tara
Cat naps.....now they know how to live! I know about the garage thing. We've got the same problem and I vowed this spring to be brutal about throwing things away and moving the boxes belonging to kids to their homes instead of mine!! I wish us both luck :-)

Hi Mary, I feel the same way. If you want to donate some of the stuff. Go to freecycle .org, You can sign up for a local chapter either in your hometown or near. You post to the local website and people respond and will come and pick up most anything, saves it from going to the dump. It's great , I offer stuff all the time. Or you could have a garage sale and make more money to go thrifting. hehehe Have a good one, janie
ReplyDeleteOh I can relate to that!! My garage is full also I have 2 vintage couches and 4 chairs in there needing to be reupholstered. My poor husband.
ReplyDeleteI just got up an hour ago and the day promises to be very busy...a nap sounds good already!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
Good Morning Mary!
ReplyDeleteI hope your Easter was wonderful and filled with lovely dishes!
Hmmm.. a nap.. do you think the children will go for it?
Enjoy!

LOL Hi Mary, thanks for telling me that I am not alone. I think i burnt myself out, and on Easter Day, I was just completely spent. Lots of making up to do with someone up there, and at home too... However I do believe that even if we did not have a good Easter meal, and that we missed Mass (*&^^%$#%^&**), my husband was right when he said God still loves us. It was just a different and disappointing easter.
ReplyDeleteoh sorry for venting on you! It wasn't my plan.

Yup, I feel just like that myself. It was an exhausting weekend and there's still so much more to do!
ReplyDeleteI know just how you feel Mary, I was so tired last night I tipped over asleep on the sofa about 15 minutes into Jane Austin's "Emma" that I was trying to watch. Our basement is what needs a truck. I have told hubby that as soon as it gets warm we are cleaning it out!
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel the same way! That's exactly what we are doing. You've decided our garage perfectly. And the yard work is not calling our name - it's screaming! So much to do. A nap would be perfect. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteI didn't post today ....was taking a nap!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, a nap sounds good to me. I'm having that kind of a day!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
Move over please! I'll be right there.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat picture!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI took a long nap yesterday, first time in years. I ate too much and the weather was too cool for anything else. I am Spring Cleaning today..yay!
I just love your blog, I am so glad you found me!
Hugs,
Meg
Mary,
ReplyDeleteOh yes, spring has officially arrived, and that means work. the windows, garage, and garden, etc Love your kitty picture. That sums it up perfectly. A nap does sound wonderful though. Ahhhhhh....
I know exactly how you feel. I think we all do. Hope you had a wonderful holiday, Mary.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the yawning puss. Very appropriate for the current state of affairs around here. All four cats have found spots in the sunshine and are napping in peace. Spring cleaning still occuring in random spurts of frantic activity that doesn't seem to bother the Deepest Zen of their Cat Naps. And they are quite right -- Naps are the best!

Happy Easter and it is a happy spring.
ReplyDeleteBaci Mary
Speaking of "cleaning". I had to clean the patio door before I could send you the picture of my tea cups. :):)
ReplyDeleteMargie
Yep, I vote in favour of a nap too! Great photo Mary!
ReplyDeleteAmanda (aka Cottage Contessa)
Girl im with you ..after Easter and being up late and work this morn im in my gown under the cover.
ReplyDeleteI FIRMLY believe a nap is the ONLY way to handle a too long to do list!
ReplyDeleteAmen! At this time of year it's difficult to decide what to do with the energy I have. Clean, yard work, read, sew,, blog, shop, nap! If these are the worse problems I have, deciding what to do, I'm fortunate!
ReplyDeleteI have to clean my house and dust. We have an awful dust problem here as we are near the country. I have company coming so I have to at least put on appearances that the house is in order.
As always, love your blog.
Oh dear, thank you for reminding me of all the things I too have to do! Now that the Easter holidays are over I will have to start thinking of all the things on my to do-list. Huh, I feel like taking a nap too...
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteCielo
Ah...when overwhelmed with too many chores, it is always best to sleep on it. Love the picture. : )
