I am a very lucky woman. Over the years, I have been given birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, anniversary gifts, shower gifts, graduation gifts...you get the idea. But rarely have I ever gotten a gift...just because. Until I started blogging.
These lovely blue and white bud vases, and the cute little plate, were given to me by the fabulous Susie Q, of Rabbit Run Cottage. Just because. Just because Sue is a terrific, wonderful, lovely and sweet woman. :) I am truly blessed to have met such a generous friend!
Thank you so much, Sue! I love them!
What wonderful gifts! That little plate is so unique! :-) Rosie

Bloggers do seem to be incredibly generous. Those gifts are delightful and I'm sure that it gives Susie Q great pleasure to see them on your shelf.

Lots of things begin to happen when you start blogging! Sometimes when I feel down, all I have to do is go and read some comments people (like you) have left. And suddenly, I feel so much better.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day, Mary!
I too was a recipient of Susie Q's generosity...when we first started visiting one another on our blogs she found out my love of tea and lack of any real china cups...next thing I know she had shipped me two...count them two real bone china cups...I'll always treasure them!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty items she sent your way!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
How nice for you! Enjoy them! They look great where you put them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant surprise....blue and white can't be beat.....Betty

Greetings! I have been lurking at your blog for a long time (and may have commented a time or two also), but I like the new header very much! BUT I did like the old one too - you know what I find funny, is that when someone changes their heading picture, it is like it is a new person, and I can't remember who they are!!! ( I do remember you tho!!) I just wondered if I was the only one with this problem! And I like so many of the blog headings, I wish I knew how to copy and paste them onto something, so I could keep track of them all.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - I really enjoy your blog - from the birds, (esp. the blue jay one!) to the decorating and the food! Could I ask you a question tho? I am a very beginning blogger, and I was wondering how do you put the frames around your pictures? I have so much to learn about making my blog look pretty, but I can't even figure out this one thing! grrrrr! So if you have a spare minute, would you mind telling me how you do that?
Thanks so much! Diane from Michigan
Wow, you have some beautiful gifts. Im sure all of them will look great with everything you have! Lucky you :)

What special treasures! They are beautiful! My mom (Donna's art) reminded me that you are in NJ - I was just in NYC with my daughter visiting my sister during the 7-inch snow. Yes, I'm glad spring is on its way too!
ReplyDeleteI love Susie Q too! And of course she knew that these lovely blue vases and plate just belonged in your home!
