Pastel Skies

Every once in awhile, we get the most glorious sunsets here at Little Red House. Here are a few of my favorite pictures. It doesn't matter what is going on or how busy we are at the time, we drop everything and rush outdoors to bask in the fading light. Often, a pair of geese will be flapping and honking, making their slow and stately way across the sky. The chill air caresses our cheeks, and the falling darkness makes the lights of the kitchen look warm and inviting. As the color dies, we turn inward. Night falls. We are blessed.

Many times I get to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets on my way to and from work. They remind me of what is important.

  17. Just found your blog. I have enjoyed visiting so much. And it is so wonderful that you are talking about having tea on one post and slamming the media the next. Good girl. This is one reason I cannot watch the news everyday. That is sad, but I feel my head gets filled with so much yuck, it makes me crazy.
Thank you for voices it. Amy
