Look What's Brewing!

My dear high school friend, Toni Ann, gave me this great little tea infuser recently, along with an assortment of yummy herbal teas. I've never been a coffee drinker -- I love the way it smells, but don't like the taste. I used to drink Irish Breakfast tea, but I switched to herbal tea when I was pregnant with my son, and never switched back. Now I'm a definite herbal girl.

I'm really enjoying the whole process of infusing the loose tea. It makes a new morning ritual for me. So far, my favorite from the assortment is Farmer's Market Blend -- apples, papayas, rosebuds, mint and flavoring. Here's what the loose tea looks like. Actual rosebuds! It smells heavenly and tastes delicious.

The tea is made by Todd & Holland in Forest Park, Illinois. They have a wide variety of traditional and herbal teas, and you can find them online here. Go see what's brewing! :)

  6. When I was in College at Penn State I worked in a little shop called The Candy Cane. Cute, huh?
Anyway we sold all kinds of loose teas and accessories. That was my first exposure to these fun and tasty pleasures in life.

I hope you'll get to come over to Hospitality Lane and enter my 200th Post Giveway.

  7. Mmmmm, that looks good Mary. I like herbal teas too, although I usually use the tea bags. Sometimes it's all about the ritual that makes it more enjoyable!

  9. Fresh, loose-leaf tea is the best tea experience, I think. I'm a tea girl too...Coffee doesn't agree with me too much. I get one of those fancy coffees out once in a blue moon and usually regret...LOL! Your infuser is a really wonderful one. Happy tea time! ((HUGS))

  10. That is so cool. I wished I loved tea,but I have tried so hard and just can't do it. It's nuts to have all my fancy cups and not drink hot tea. But I admire the teas and smells the way you do coffee.Have a blessed day.

  12. Mary, have you ever had those tea flowers, that open up when you place them in hot water? I've seen them and they look lovely but they're very expensive.

Forest Park, Illinois, huh? I might have to take a field trip. It's about 40 miles from here and it's only about 5 miles from where I grew up.

  17. Oh Mary, that tea looks as delicious as it does pretty! My daughter and I went to a tea shop in Avon by the Sea in NJ and we used tea infusers for the first time. The tea was a Christmas blend, and was out of this world. thanks for sharing your site, I will check it out.

  21. Oh that looks like a relaxing treat! Those rosebuds are so pretty, I don't know that I'd be able to eat them! I love the pics of your garden in the last post too. Can I come sip tea with you and linger on that bench for a while when the weather warms a smidge? It's raining here today and I found myself sifting through my garden pictures just to catch my breath. Winter needs to go, he's long since over stayed his welcome.

    Hugs,
