OK, I'm all set to become a Stepford wife, now that I've got this nifty little cookbook holder. Can't you just picture me in my Jimmy Choo's, vintage apron tied around my impossibly tiny waist, wooden spoon in my manicured hand and a four-course gourmet dinner on the stove?
You can't?
Neither can I. But I thought this cookbook holder, with it's creamy white chippy paint and charming little bird, would look great on my kitchen counter.
But now I have to actually cook something.
Darn.
I love that cookbook holder! Your kitchen is so beautiful--your photos look like magazine shots. Just lovely!
ReplyDelete10 degrees over here!

Cook something? You mean the cookbook holder isn't meant just to display a pretty picture in the cookbook? Love it, no matter what it's for:>)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cookbk holder.
ReplyDeleteIf you keep the page open to someting lucious and just keep walking by and walking by you'll keep saying to yourself, "I have to make that!"
Naw!! Let's juts order pizza and look at the pretty pictures!

Mary,
ReplyDeleteIf you find a way to get the impossibly tiny waist (while still eating, of course) let this middle aged "apple" know please :)
Janet
I have always thought of you doing just that! Are you telling me you aren't really my domestic role model? hehehehe
ReplyDelete((hugs)) Rosie
Love the holder (and the photography)...
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

I love it! I love the ball and chain that hold open the page. Just perfect. I think the Eggplant Mezzaluna Raviolo sounds good (in your cookbook)...whens dinner?

Penny
OOOHHHHH!!! That cookbook holder is great. I have to get one of those.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your postings and the great, wonderful pictures and displays. They do belong in a magazine.
Have a great weekend, Janie
Your kitchen is so beautiful Mary, I don't think you should have to cook in there and muss it up! I just love your cookbook holder :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

Hi Mary!
ReplyDelete:) I love that cookbook holder! If you'd rather not use it to cook you could do the desperate housewives thing and use it to prop up a romance novel while soaking in the tub! ;)
Have a fabulous weekend!
Hugs,
Abbie
That is a cutest cookbook holder I've ever seen! I just love it. I've thought of getting one for my kitchen but never wanted the plain ones I find. Your kitchen and your pictures are wonderful. I don't think I'd pressure myself to actually cook if I were you. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteYou're so right...it does look great. What a terrific way to show off a beautiful cookbook or to hint at dinner. Oh! You're not going to do that. ;D
ReplyDelete(I don't know why you wouldn't look perfectly adorable in a lovely apron.)
Lovely holder!! Perhaps it could a lovely album filled with handy take-out menus??? LOL! Or perhaps an artwork featuring food???

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'd love something like that, but I have such a tiny kitchen that counter space is at a premium. I usually juggle running back and forth between my kitchen table and my counter when I'm cooking, so I read what the next ingrediant is
;-)
Happy Leap Day! Pat
Love the cookbook holder:-). Love the wearing your Jimmy-choos thing too *giggles*.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
I thought that cook books were just for reading! Hmm...that is what I do with all of mine. Have I been wrong all of these years?
ReplyDeleteBut yes, I CAN see you in your Jimmy Choos with a string of pearls. Oh, and perhaps a nice silk dress...the first way might get you in trouble should the gas man come by.
Hugs,
Sue
Hello Mary, see? It was meant for you! It was waiting for you to buy it. I would like one too someday when i find a 'good find..."

PS...Have a great weekend too!
Read my blog dated February 15th where I write 7 wierd things about me. I collect cookbooks and have them "staged" in the kitchen. Impresses people-"wow, she must really love cooking!" NOT! It's all an illusion that your cookbook holder fits right in with.
ReplyDeleteOh mary,
ReplyDeleteLove your cookbook holder, and the display is so pretty! Nah, don't cook you will mess up that pretty kitchen. Stay warm and cozy!
Debbie xo
Love it and it can hold books and look pretty hehe. Either way you use it I love it.

That is a fabulous cookbook holder! ~ Lynda xox
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the most distinctive cookbook holder I've ever seen. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the cookbook holder. When my daughter moved to her new house last year, we went on a search for a cookbook holder cause she'd always wanted one (so of course mama obliged and got her one). She DOES cook but most of the time just has a Southern Living cookbook or a Paula Deen cookbook opened to a yummy looking page so folks think she's just cooked up a fabulous meal!
