In my dreams, at least... Here is a small arrangement of flowers and robin's eggs, that helps me forget the wintry blasts outside. The smaller bowl with roses is a piece of thrifted Rosenthal. The cut crystal bowl was one of my mother's favorite pieces.
Spring is coming; I know it's coming.
Forgive me while I dream on...
Hey honey - I'm in dreamland with you! I can't take much more of the winter blahs. And while today is supposed to be unseasonably warm - a high of 60 degrees - it's going to rain all day with passing thunderstorms. And on Thursday it's supposed to snow again! There go my allergies. COME ON SPRING!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Julie
Yes, Spring has to arrive soon. Although we have some icy mix today and snow on Thursday. UGH!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one, Janie
Love the flowers and bird nest.
I agree...something's gotta give! Too much gray, right??
ReplyDeleteThe weatherman is calling for 55 degrees today, here in PA. I know it won't get to that here in the mountains but we are heading down to "civilization today and I am anticipating the smell of Spring in the air.....hope to not be disappointed! Love the bird's nest....hmmmm.......why don't I have more of these....will have to ask Hubby if there is a Michael's where we are going :-)
ReplyDeleteFrom your lips to God's ears Mary! I am dreaming right along with you:>)
ReplyDeleteIf only it were true!! Very gloomy and rainy here and I was going to walk to the polling place, but perhaps I will drive instead.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Oh I love the lil nest with the lil eggs...how precious!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Robin
Hi Mary. I love the way you try to make some spring inside your home. Spring is on it's way. Hope it gets there soon. When I couldn't stand winter anymore i bought hyacinths and primulas from the grocery store . Both the colors and scent cheered me up. Rhondi xo
ReplyDeleteDreams do come true Mary and you will see Spring soon! Such a pretty arrangement - and as always your precious dishes.
ReplyDeleteI see buds on my daffodils, amazing as we're still having a very serious drought problem - only water left for 108 days!
Yesterday the robins were out in force as the temps. reached 70 - many descended on the bird baths, drinking and bathing, so of course I was out there filling them up - don't tell the city, please!!!
At last I can leave the windows open - great as I'm painting up a storm and my head starts to spin without fresh air.
So dream on - and enjoy.
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteSpring is coming, hang on! Your photos are so pretty. Today it's supposed to be near 70 degrees but a bit overcast. I'll be outside!
Hugs,
Donna
It's arrived here at least. Your blog looks so pretty today.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the spring thing! I hate to wish my life away, but I am wishing February AWAY!! And some of March too! I just want to be warm....
Smiles!
Annie
There's no need to forgive you Mary. With all the stress and post-flood nonsense going on in my house I am extremely happy to visit with you, look at your lovely photos and dream along.
ReplyDeleteBut for now, I'm back to dealing with the plumber and the sump pump problem!

Dreams of spring..that is such a good thing! I love all your pretty things, especially the bird's nest.

That is such a sweet setting.

Hi Mary, what a beautiful flower arrangement, guaranteed to cheer you up! I love your wallpapered home - I'm rather partial to wallpaper myself, I think it makes a house so cosy. Sadly Mr. Bloom doesn't agree to I have to confine my wallpapering to inside cupboards and wardrobes. One of these days I might just surprise him though, hee, hee ;-)
